On Windows 7 or greater, you loggon but you get a temporary user profile – how to solve this issue ?

1) check if it is not caused by lack of disk space on your system drive C:

if there is enough disk space

2) logon on another user context or even the local administrator account

3) try to resolve corrupted profile first:

Start > Help and Support

Search for “profile”

Select “Fix a corrupted user profile”

4) if this does not work, delete your corrupted profile:

a) using the Windows 2003 resource kit utility: delprof.exe

b) by using, control, system applet, advanced, user profiles

5) if this does not solve your problem, start REGEDIT

delete the affected’s profile subfolder under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
